Cowboy, it is with heavy heart that I send this Ode to the Departed. You, as their spokesman, will do a fine job seeing that the message is delivered to the surviving members of Son's family.

=============================================================

To the Survivors of our friend, warrior, and fellow "SOGGIE", known to us as Son. We   wish to offer our most sincere and meaningful regrets at your loss.  With that said; Your Loss, is also Our Loss; may the Good Lord give Son a soft landing on the DZ at the Big Ranch in the Sky

An Ode to the DepartedToday we stand, bowed heads, sad eyes, and the feeling of loneliness;
Today we have lost a friend, a partner, a loved one; one who has been a part of our lives;
Today we stand here on solemn ground, where we have laid to rest this loved one;
Today is a day of grieving, of sorrow, tears, and laughter at the good times we shared long ago.
Tomorrow is a day of sadness and grieving, a day of prayer for our departed;
Tomorrow is also a day of reconciliation, of sharing that bond we had with others; a day of reflection;
Tomorrow is the day we say good-bye to our departed, a day we pack up all our memories;
Memories of good times, not so good times, and the excellent times we shared; for…….
Tomorrow, yes tomorrow is another day in the Life of those who have been left behind.
Life is not forever; for He put each of us here for a purpose, a purpose only He knows; and when that purpose is over, He takes our life for another life to begin at His will. With each birth there is death, with each death, there is birth; with each death the final answering call to those who have been protecting us while we visit Mother Earth; awaiting our journey to a far better place then that which we have just departed……God Bless and Amen.
